Director
Janell was raised in Blackfoot where she learned to love dance and compete from a young age. Her passion for movement led her to earn degrees in Dance and Physical Education from Ricks College and ISU.
She never stops learning how to safely move and bless others lives through dance, physical fitness, and nutrition making her a wealth of knowledge in all of those areas. She has received numerous certifications in yoga, MUTU, Progressive Ballet Training, and aerobics.
Janell has influenced thousands of lives, both dancers and their families, through her generous heart and incredible hard work in building a successful dance program. Teaching girls to love and respect their bodies through modest costuming and movement is foundational to her philosophy of dance as well as safe and correct training practices.
She has been involved in the community in many capacities over the years ranging from elementary school programs to judging the Distinguished Young Women’s pageant; most notably as an assistant for the Moscow Russian Nutcracker Ballet of Idaho Falls
When she isn’t in the studio teaching, or in her office planning and working, she takes as many adventures as she can with her loving husband and 9…yes 9 beautiful children!
All of us at Elevé continue to be amazed at her ability to plan, organize, and provide opportunities for so much fun and learning to all our students!
Assistant Director, Accounts Manager & Competitive & Recreational Coach
Lenae Rowley is the new Assistant Director this year at Elevé. She plays a HUGE role at Elevé and when she isn’t choreographing award-winning pieces for her students, she is keeping all staff members up to date and is Janell’s right hand!
Lenae danced for Lone Peak High School in Utah and went on to receive a scholarship at Utah Valley University where she furthered her knowledge and skill as a performer.
While there, she danced with Synergy Dance Company and served in leadership capacities from Company Treasurer to President. She traveled to New York where she had the opportunity to perform at the LaGuardia School of Performing Arts and took classes from Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham Dance Companies.
Lenae has a beautiful way of connecting dancers on stage and teaching them to find confidence through movement. She is a favorite amongst all of our students and teachers alike because she cares so deeply about the success and well-being of those around her. Her experience and contributions make her an invaluable part of Elevé and we are all so grateful for her!
She and her high school sweetheart are raising 4 beautiful dancing daughters, a sports playing son, and a sweet Golden Retriever puppy!
She will also be working with the financial side of Elevé and is the beautiful smiling face you will see helping you out during office hours. If you need any help with accounts or registering, you can contact Lenae at [email protected].
Artistic Director & Competitive Coach
Kimberlee Yonke is taking over as our Artistic Director this year and this woman has an incredible imagination and more creativity than we can even handle sometimes! She has some really big things in the works for this upcoming season that you won’t want to miss
Kimmy was born and raised in Idaho Falls and trained with The Idaho Falls School of Ballet and Dance Depot as well as her high school dance team. She has traveled and learned from many renowned dance artists as she has furthered her knowledge and skill with choreography and technique.
Kimmy has been teaching for over 12 years and has won numerous awards for her choreography. Proper technique is so important to her and she is always pushing her students to work hard, focus, and never give up.
She makes everything she works with more beautiful whether it be costumes, music, or movement. She is a natural-born artist and loves to create beautiful pictures through drawing and painting. Kimmy has a keen eye for design and has made her home so beautiful, which she shares with her sweetheart, young son, and two daughters.
Kimmy is passionate about nutrition and has spent many hours taking different courses on healthy practices. When she catches wind of one of our girls feeling sick, she shows up with all kinds of organic concoctions to get them up and running again! We love and appreciate everything she does to help these girls learn and grow.
This is going to be our best year yet, and so much of that is due to Kimmy’s big ideas and determination to see them through. We love you Miss Kimmy!!!
Competitive Teams Director & Coach
Lindsie Curtis is our new Competitive Teams Director at Elevé Dance Studios, but she is not new to Elevé, on the contrary, she has been our biggest cheerleader for many years now!
Lindsie has been dancing and teaching for over 25 years. She has taken classes in all genres of dance including tap, ballroom, ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, modern and contemporary. She began teaching and choreographing at the age of 12 and has a great passion for seeing her students gain skills and grow confidence through dancing and yoga.
She is an accomplished yoga instructor and owner of Exhale Yoga and knows just when her dance students need to turn their focus inward to find some inner peace on the mat. She also enjoys teaching yoga to a local sports team. The flexibility and increased range of motion gained through yoga have helped these young athletes avoid injury and gain renewed focus!
Lindsie is also the proud momma of 5 awesome little people! She has found joy, especially during the last couple of years focusing on her growing family’s needs.
Lindsie is a leader of light, love, and energy wherever she goes! We LOVE our Miss Lindsie!!!
Halloween Production Co-Director & Coach
We love Miss Andy and feel so grateful she is a part of our staff! She is going to play a big part in so many of the fun new things you will see at Elevé this year!
Andy grew up dancing in the state of Washington and while she loved and excelled in jazz and ballet, she was particularly skilled in tap. This was recognized by her high school coaches who included this in her team routines that helped lead them to State Champion titles all 4 years she attended there.
She also had the experience of performing in the Rose Bowl parade and on stage at Walt Disney World in Orlando!
She went on to receive a minor in dance at BYU-I where she learned to love the artistry and movement of modern dance and became particularly interested in Dance Kinesiology. Her knowledge and experience have been a huge asset to our teams!
Miss Andy always has a bright smile and so much encouragement for our dancers. She plays a big role in both recreational and competitive teams as well as heading up our tap program. We feel very fortunate to have her as a part of our team!!!
Assistant Recreational Director & Coach
Meredith is another one of our amazing teachers at Elevé! She has been a big part of the studio for many years and works with so many of our recreational teams.
Meredith danced through middle school and high school and then attended Rick’s College where she earned an Associates Degree in Arts and then onto a Major in Dance. She enjoyed teaching small classes in her home until she joined up with Elevé and we are so grateful she did! She also enjoys choreographing for our local community musicals.
Meredith is the mother of 6 girls, many of whom inherited her love of dance and can be seen in the studio on a very regular basis! She works hard with the young girls in both dance and tumbling and has helped so many young ladies transition from recreational to competitive teams over the years.
Ballet Coach
Miss Lauren is one of our amazing ballet instructors. She has been teaching for Elevé since 2021 and her choreography has been astounding! She started training at the age of 5 with Deborah Bean at The Idaho Falls School of Ballet and continued there for 12 years.
When she was 12 years old, she was invited to dance with Ballet West and Joffrey Ballet as part of their summer programs. In both 2018 and 2019 she was asked to perform at the Northwest Dance Festival in Eugene Oregon. She has performed with the Eugene Ballet Company in both The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty as well as at the Driggs Crane Festival and Rocky Mountain Choreography Competition.
Her knowledge and skill of such a graceful discipline has truly impacted our ballet program and we feel so lucky to have her on staff!
Lauren will continue taking classes in ballet as she begins a new phase of life at BYU-Idaho but we will still be fortunate enough to have her teaching classes with us again this fall!
